Chairman  Salam Kahil

I was born in Lebanon 1967, in the capital city, Beirut. In 1980 I started to practice karate kyokushinkai. My teacher was grand master HASHEM MAKKI, the branch chief of the Lebanese kyokushinkai organization. 1984 is the year when I attended the 1-st Dan black belt degree. In 1988 I came to Odessa (Ukraine), to study and I organized my first group and started to teach karate. My club name was karate dojo.
In the year 1990 I returned to Lebanon and took a test on the 2-end Dan. After my return to Odessa, I knew that already exist a Ukrainian kyokushinkai federation, but from the first contact with them, I felt that I am not welcome in their organization. In 1991 I developed my own federation and style. It was the simmey-do karate or the way of the bright spirit. It is a mix style, so universal. The base was kept from kyokushinkai karate with the add of jiu-jitsu elements and kickboxing punches. At the present time we have many branches in a different countries . Russia, Ukraine, Chechnya, Dagestan, Armenia and many more. In 2005 year I joined the international Kyokushin-kai & Self-Defense Federation and became it representative in Ukraine with the rank of 6th Dan black belt. also I have been awarded the 6th  Dan by the Kyokushin budokai organization. In the beginning of the year 2006, I have developed the international  Kyokushinkai  Budokan group, to continue the way of Mas Oyama.
Osu!

Dojo Kun (Dojo Oath)

* We will train our hearts and bodies for a firm unshaking spirit.
* We will pursue the true meaning of the Martial Way, So that in time, our senses may be alert.
* With true vigour, we will seek to cultivate a spirit of self denial.
* We will observe the rules of courtesy, respect our superiors, and refrain from violence.
* We will follow our god, and never forget the true virtue of humility.
* We will look upwards to wisdom and strength, not seeking other desires. All our lives, through the discipline of karate, we will seek to fulfil the true meaning of the kyokushin way.
The meaning of Osu!

Osu means patience, respect and appreciation. In order to develop a strong body and strong spirit it is necessary to undergo rigorous training. This is very demanding, because you must push yourself to what you believe to be your limit, and you want to stop; to give up. When you reach this point you must fight yourself and your weakness and you must win. To do this you must learn to persevere, but above all you must learn to be patient. This is OSU!

The reason you subject yourself to hard training is because you care about yourself, and to care about yourself is to respect yourself. This self respect evolves and expands to become respect for your instructor and fellow students. When you enter the dojo you bow and say "Osu" . This means you respect your dojo and the time you spend training there. This feeling of respect is OSU!

During training you push yourself as hard as possible because you respect yourself. When you finish you bow to your insructor and fellow students and say "Osu" once more. You do this out of appreciation. This feeling of appreciation is OSU.

Thus OSU is a very important word in Kyokushin Karate because it signifies patience, respect and appreciation. That is why we always use the word OSU; to remind ourselves of these indispensable qualities.

What is Kyokushin Karate

Kyokushin Karate is a powerful style of Martial Art, founded by the legendary Karate master Masutatsu Oyama.

Kyokushin combines both traditional and freestyle training methods into a practical and effective self defence system that is ystem that is suitable for men, women and children of all ages.

The biggest difference with other styles is that Kyokushin Karate is full-contact.

Karate is both an art and philosophy, because each person has a different personality, this reflects itself in their interpretation. Therefore, karate masters founded their own schools, teaching their style or ryu.

Kyokushin remains traditional in it's training methods, protocol and beliefs, yet avoids rigid guidelines to allow its practitioners to grow and progress, in turn contributing to the evolution of Kyokushin.

Founder

Kyokushin is the name given to our style. It was founded in 1953 by the late Grand Master Mas Oyama. After studying the Martial Arts for two decades, training in many different forms; from Korean to Chinese and Japanese styles as well as boxing and self defense tactics in North America; he created Kyokushin from what he believed to be the essential elements of each, and contributed his own practical methods for the application of the ancient forms to suit 21st century practitioners.

Kyokushin - word meaning

KYOKUSHIN, (Pronounced: "Key-yoke / shin") means ultimate truth. The true meaning of this is that you are prepared to do or give all you got in every situation to finally get what you wanted or to achieve your goal. Only with an iron discipline and the correct mentality is this possible to achieve. You will have to confront yourself with reality without taking shortcuts and when you can do this you will have boosted your self esteem.

The Strongest Karate

Kyokushin is known throughout the Martial Arts world as The Strongest Karate, not only for the reputation of it's top fighters but also the rigorous and thorough training methods. Kyokushin famous for its powerful techniques derives its spectacular force from points and circles which create enormous strength. It is this circular motion that distinguishes Kyokushin karate from other karate styles that rely on simple linear motion.
